Uwe Brandenburg holds a PhD from the University of Bristol and master’s degrees from the University of Wales, UK, and the University of Münster, Germany. He is currently an associate professor at the Universitat Rovira I Virgili and managing director of the Global Impact Institute (www.globalimpactinstitute.eu). He led the research teams for the Erasmus Impact Study (2014 and 2016) and the European Voluntary Service Impact Study (2017). He has published widely on internationalisation, measurement and impact. He was previously managing partner at CHE Consult, and worked at the Centre for Higher Education Development, as head of the international office at the Brandenburg University of Technology in Cottbus, and as director of international affairs at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
